FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything cleaning companies and property managers ask before signing on.

Proof & evidence

How Lymra captures and presents the work your team did.

How do I prove my cleaners actually did the work?

Every clean is captured in-app with timestamped, GPS-stamped before/after photos. When a client questions whether the work happened, you generate a branded PDF proof report showing exactly who cleaned what, when, and where — usually in under a minute.

Can cleaners upload old photos from their phone gallery?

No. Lymra captures photos through an in-app camera flow only — gallery uploads are blocked. Each capture carries a timestamp and GPS coordinate that are written at the moment of capture, not editable after the fact.

What stops a cleaner from marking a bathroom "clean" in 30 seconds?

Minimum-time enforcement. Each site and area has a minimum clean time configured by the company. Jobs that fall below the threshold are flagged on the dashboard so supervisors can investigate before a client notices.

What does a Lymra proof report contain?

A branded PDF showing each area cleaned, before/after photos with timestamps, GPS coordinates, the cleaner who did the work, and total time on site. Reports are generated on demand and can be attached directly to a monthly invoice.

Can I share proof reports with my clients?

Yes. PDF proof reports are designed to be sent directly to property managers, building owners, and tenants — either ad-hoc when a complaint arrives, or attached to monthly invoicing as part of a transparent service agreement.

Operations & field reality

How the platform handles the day-to-day reality of running cleaning teams in South Africa.

Does Lymra work in basements and parking garages with no signal?

Yes. Lymra is offline-first. Photos and job data are captured locally on the cleaner's device and synced when connectivity returns. Nothing is lost in dead zones, basements, or underground parking.

What happens to proof photos during load shedding?

Cleaners keep working. Captures queue locally on the device until connectivity comes back, then sync automatically. Supervisors and clients see the proof as soon as the next data window opens — no manual re-uploads, no lost evidence.

Can I track which cleaner serviced which site?

Yes. Every job is linked to a named cleaner, a specific site, and a specific time window. The accountability dashboard tracks completion rates, average time on site, and quality scores per cleaner across every contract.

How does Lymra handle multiple buildings or sites?

Cleaning companies manage as many sites as their plan allows from a single tenant account, with per-site schedules, checklists, and evidence trails. Supervisors can monitor every contract from one dashboard without driving between sites.

POPIA & data handling

Where your data lives and how Lymra handles it.

Is Lymra POPIA compliant?

Lymra is built around POPIA principles: lawful purpose (proof of service), minimal collection, encrypted transit, audit logs, and defined retention. Your contract with each client should still describe how proof photos are used and stored — Lymra gives you the technical foundation to honour that.

Where is my data stored?

Operational data is stored in South Africa-aligned infrastructure with encryption in transit. Photo evidence is stored in object storage with private access controls so only authorised users in your tenant — and any property managers you invite — can view it.

How long is cleaning evidence retained?

Default retention is 12 months of audit trail and evidence storage, which covers a typical contract dispute window. Longer retention is available on higher tiers when contracts require it.

For property managers

How property and facility managers use Lymra alongside their cleaning contractor.

My cleaning contractor uses Lymra — how do I get access to the evidence?

Your cleaning contractor invites your firm into their tenant via the PM portal. Once you accept the invitation, you can view evidence, download proof reports, and raise disputes for the properties they've granted you access to.

What can a property manager see in Lymra?

Per-property permissions control what you see — typically read-evidence, download proof reports, and raise disputes. You only see properties your cleaning contractor has explicitly granted you access to; nothing else.

Can I require my cleaning contractor to use Lymra?

You can write a proof-of-service requirement into your service-level agreement and ask your contractor to adopt Lymra. We don't sell the platform directly to property managers — your contractor signs up and invites your firm into their account.

Pricing & getting started

How much does Lymra cost?

Plans start at R2,500/month for small operators (Starter), with higher tiers for growing cleaning companies that need more sites, users, and storage. See the pricing page for the current published tiers.

What is "founding client" status?

Founding clients are the first South African cleaning companies onboarding to Lymra. They get white-glove onboarding, locked-in pricing, and a direct line to the team while the platform matures. Apply via the contact form — no credit card to apply.

Still have a question?

We answer founding-client enquiries personally — usually within one business day.
